Creating a Walking Monument:

 

There are thousands of monuments to tragedy, sociopaths and rationale; made of stone and metal they are monuments only to the history of mistakes.  This project was conceived as a form of Fine Art to help counter the epidemic of fear that is crippling the world.  It is a living tribute to who we are at our best.  It is called Éfforos Amorfiá, Fertile Beauty.  Life is not a circle, it is a spiral.  Every action affects another, and beauty that procreates makes it a living, growing form of beauty.

 

The Medium: Anticipation and Enthusiasm.

 

The Canvas: A human life.

 

The Objective:

*To provide a person with a palate of opportunity with which to create a picture of an image they most want to see; an

   image of their hero and seeing that hero is themself.

 

*To enhance one's perspective, focused on beauty not fear, to nurture views that embrace our neighbors and anticipate the

   future with enthusiasm.

 

The person chosen to be a Walking Monument will receive a backpack, an airline ticket, a debit card, cell phone, instructions to their first destination and a box. In that box are six rings.  Six children from around the world will be chosen with whom the Walking Monument will personally correspond along their way so that they are part of the adventure as well.  Along their journey the traveler will leave in a secure place a ring for each of the six children. It can only be retrieved by the child themselves at whatever point in time. It will be waiting as a magnet powering wonder, anticipation and the knowledge that there are good energies there for them...and they must be one for others.

 

Other contents of the box include: the trinketry and mystery that spark the flame of curiosity, each tied to a clue that leads to an adventure. Tickets, keys, addresses...Each journey is custom tailored.

 

This is a journey that circumnavigates the globe, a treasure hunt of adventures.  One example route would be  Seattle to Madrid: a Eurail Pass for three months, St. Petersburg to Moscow, Trans Siberian Railway to Ulan Batar Mongolia, to Vladivostok. Vladivostok to Beijing, Beijing to Tokyo. Tokyo to Seattle.

 

This is a gift to the recipient.  No exchange of money or services is expected, required or implied.
